I like the trilingual phrasebook, being a philologist I can make out the proto-indo-european radicals of the words. VERY INTERESTING, bravo !! Will try and surprise my friend with " Labas rytas, Rimantas. Ar gerai miegojote ?"
I wish you would be able to see his face...

Aside from your site, I wonder if you have ever heard of the family surname "Diger-Didoris"?  My mother was Lithuanian, but my ggrandfather had friends in Germany and the family moved to Germany during WWII and he may have been German.  I know Rudiger is German, but have not been able to find references to Diger-Didoris anywhere.

Perhaps you may have.
Anyway, trust you can write back.
Many thanks and best regards.

Tehre are no mistakes, but would love to ask a question.  I'm told there is software or on-line help to translate notes and letters.  I have a friend here from Lithuania and would love to bea ble to rite a note and have it translated.  Not for use on the net but to read or print on my computer.  There seems to be these things available for other languages but not Lithuanian.  If you can provide these services or recoomend some I would be grateful.  Thank you.

"This short and simple dictionary is on development constantly." Correct grammar:  "...dictionary is UNDER development..."  or "...dictionary is constantly being developed."

I'm only a beginner in Lithuanian, so I can't correct anything there.  But there are several places where your English grammar is awkward.  For the most part it is good.  And this site is very helpful! Thanks. THANK YOU, AUSTIN (AudroneM)

Dear Audra,
Thanks again for the help you have given me communicating with my relatives. I have had one letter from them.
If I do get to Vilnius in the next few years, I would like to meet you and your husband, if possible. I would like to buy you a glass of Lithuanian wine if there is such a thing.
Take care.

this is a great help in understanding what my grandfather wrote almost 100 years ago, although I may not get an exact translation. Many words I cannot find here as he spelled them. I will keep coming back to your site for new words you may add. Thank you for this help.

Hello Ms. Audrone M: I wanted to let you know that I will be mentioning your very nice site in my column, Lithuanian Site of the Week, which I write for a list of subscribers here in the USA.
Five time a week they receive a Lithuanian word for their vocabulary from the gentleman who started the list, and once a week I add a column on websites where people can learn more.
