It's great to find a website related to
Lithuania. I'm half Lithuanian myself, and looking at a photo taken in
Lithuania of my great-grandfather's parents & family. Thank you for your
efforts.

I think so, because it's obvious that you
speak Lithuanian better than me. |

Hello: My name's Adrian. I'm from Spain. I'm a
student. And I have a question about a Lithuanian word: "Broliuc". I've got
a friend that was with Lithuanian people in Germany and he told that the
people said that for call a person that for you is like a brother. I found "brolis"
"-iai" like brother, but this "broliuc". What's that? It's real? A word from
dialect? Do you know something to tell me about this? Thank you very much,
and excuse me my english "for beaches" like we say in Spain for a bad
english:D.

I want to make an offline software version for your
dictionaries. Would you be interested? Of course this service of mine would
be fully free. I also want to learn Lithuanian, but as you probably know,
there aren't many online lessons. Maybe you are preparing some?
Hope to hear from you soon,
Best regards,
VTI've prepared many free software, a
great part of which is langauges related...Like Turkish-Bulgarian
dictionary, English-Hindi dictionary, English-Indonesian Dictionary etc...
While I'm learning the marvellous Lithuanian language, I'll prepare a
dictionary, fully free and share it with the world in the way you did.
Thank you for your reply anyways. Wish you success in all your matters. |

I need help, please. My wife is of Lithuanian decent.
Recently a friend presented us with a very decorative banner about 6
inches wide and 5 feet long which was hand-woven in Lithuania. It carries
the inscription "Jubiliejaus Proga". Using your website I think I
understand "Jubiliejaus" to mean anniversary or jubilee. Unfortunately I
can't find any reference to the word "Proga". Can you pleas help complete
the translation. Thank you and I found you website to be very useful.
Regards, Scott Miller |

Hi. i found a very useful online dictionary, free download
version. It is very helpful to me because my work is to translate from
different languages to Bulgarian. The interface is very simple, the
dictionary contains a great amount of words. I don't if it is allowed to put
links here so if you are interested in this please email me and i will tell
you where to find it. |

I
would actually have a very unusual request for whoever is in charge of this
site. As you can see, my last name is Bernelius. I“ve noticed that it means
something in
Lithuanian, but I could not find it in the dictionary. Could you please tell
me what my
name means in English? I would be really glad to get the answer in an e-mail
to
venlabernelius@hotmail.com. Thank you for the good web-dictionary!

Hello Audronė ! How are you? You don't know me (my name
is Martin, I live in London) but since you are one of the few Lithuanians
that I have found on the web I wanted to email you to ask for a favour. Me
and some friends are coming over to Vilnius for a weekend at the end of May
and we want to have some useful and amusing phrases in Lithuanian that we
can put to use over there. If I sent you some words and phrases in English,
could you translate them into Lithuanian for me? Martin.

Laba diena:
I am just a very beginning student and not learning so easily [
am 54 -:) ], so I say the phrases are good, are useful. Just one negative
point for a beginner like I am, I cannot pronounce it!!!!! I have the
Lithuanian alphabet in audio, but nevertheless,I cannot pronounce the words
correctly.
Iki pasimatymo. |

Gerade frage ich mich was im Zusammenhang mit 'Saldziu Sapnu' ('S e Trume'),
'ramiu blusu' hei t. Sicher, das ist sehr speziell aber ich wrde es so gern
wissen :-). Viele Gr e |

You are the first after looking long, where I found a
vocabular dictionary. One thing, the link to free dictionaries ALWAYS gives
me dead link.
Maybe you know for me one or more links to translation websites on which I
can get English sentences translated into Lithuanian ?? Preferable
freeware because I do not have got a creditcard.
Thank you,

Thank you so much for putting in some principle parts. You
have worked so hard on this dictionary and have produced a fine piece of
work. Do you know what would be a nice touch if you ever have the time? It
would be nice to be able to see which declension the nouns are. Some Latin
or German dictionaries put in genitives or plurals, or you could just put
the number. You see, you give your readers an inch and they take it a
mile! Now that we know how capable you are we want to work you too hard. |

I have been searching for a good lithuanian/ english,
english/ lithuanian dictionary for my parents, and noticed that your
translations were very descriptive. I am writing to you in hopes that
you could you tell me the title, author and year of publication of the
dictionary that you used to create the site.
Again, I can be reached at:
justbeechy28@yahoo.com
Hello & thank you for your quick reply. My dilema is attempting find a
book that is equally as well done as your website- if it is your
translation on the website, then I may not be able to obtain a hard copy
that is as descriptive.
Thank you for your consideration-

Thank you for your hard work in creating the dictionaries.
It is very useful for my continued attempt at refamiliarizing myself with
my native language - lithuanian. I have only one suggestion, and I know it
would be difficult, but if each lithuanian word could have an audio clip
attached for the word and a sentence demonstrating its use.
Again thanks, your effort is appreciated.

We have spoken before. Sorry I've not been able to find
any additional information on funding. But of course, I have a word
request. Paziuresiyy -- maybe paziures iyy? Thoughts. My woman friend
from Lithuania visited and she wrote this on a bottle of champagne that
she asked me to save for her until she returned to the US again. |
